Second digital landline handset not working

Since moving to sky broadband my second landline handset has constant feedback and has no dialing tone. Anyone had this problem, do I need a sky digital adapter?

Just to clarify - do you have 2 landlines? Or is this a problem with one of two handsets on the same line? Does the other handset work?

 

Just to add if you moved from BT, their handsets designed to work specifically with BT's Digital Voice aervice won't work with Sky Talk.

Thank you for your response, yes it is a BT phone and it is the second handset on the same line that is not working correctly. 

Do I need a sky adapter or a sky compatible phone?

 Your phones simply need to be standard dect phones with the base station connected to the UK phone port of the hub.

 

 

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Hi @Stelian1 if both handsets are of the same type, and both are connected cordlessly, I'll assume that they're not handsets designed specifically for BT's Digital Voice service. If that's the case, it looks like the second handset has developed a fault.

 

Sky's internet calls service requires a standard corded phone or a standard DECT phone where the base station plugs into your broadband Hub as @GD1 posted.

Unfortunately, yes: the BT Digital Voice hardware is proprietary to BT Broadband, and there's no Sky equivalent of the BT 'digital adapter'
