If you have a Sky Broadband Hub (or Max Hub) witha green 'Voice' light on the front then your calls are being carried over broadband, and the only working phone socket will be the one on the rear of the Hub.

Have you changed, or ordered a change, to the Sky Broadband provision recently?

I suspect you'll have to persist with logging a fault with Sky, but emphasise it's a voice call issue, not broadband.

My very good Openreach engineer Laura, who installed my Boradband for Sky Glass, did not explain about the phone needing to be plugged into the router (probably because she is not Sky) but this reply explained it all for me. I had wondered what that 4th green light was - landline now working perfectly as before.
Sky themselves have never explained it, though I now found it was mentioned in the "how to set up your hub" leaflet - but I didn't set up the hub, Openreach did!
So thanks for that info TimmyBGood!
