Personal alarm system via VOIP phone

I am using a Sky VOIP phone line, I would like to get a Personal Alarm system in case I fall or am taken ill which would normally connect to a regular landline connection. Question is, will this work through my router?

Check first with the provider of the PA system you choose. Some are better prepared for the digital phone switchover than others.
