No incoming landline call on new Sky Fibre

My father has had sky fibre fitted Thursday. Can anyone help please. We're going round in circles. My sister has phoned sky twice. He isnt receiving any incoming calls to the landline phone but outgoing landline calls are fine. The internet is working fine and his mobile is okay. I've seen other discussions saying the same thing but no specific fix is listed. Any advice would be great. Thank you.

First, can you confirm that the phone is plugged into your father's broadband Hub? And is the Voice LED on the front panel illuminated green?

Thank you for getting in touch. Yes - Ive checked the cables and they're okay. We just switched the hub on and off for 10 seconds and all 4 lights on the front of the hub have come back on. We've tried calling it from two different phones. It didn't work.

And you do have the phone plugged into the back of the hub ?

Yes. The cable is plugged in correctly and the lights are all on, on the hub.

@JohnW70 the number may conceivably have changed. If your father dials 17070 he'll hear a recorded messsage which includes his number.

If he has transferred from another provider it is possible the line is complete but the number port is partially complete which is why he can make but not receive calls

if you call your mobile from the landline if the correct number showing on the mobile caller display?

the number port and activation can take a day or so depending on when openreach complete the fibre activation

it took 48 hours for mine to complete when I switched to fttp but the old copper connection was still live so could use a handset in the old master socket until it stopped and was fully active on the new VoIP service
