Landline number not (yet?) transferred

Hi,

We've just switched to Sky and had Full Fibre install today, with landline, in the expectation that our previous landline number (with Plusnet) would be amongst the "most cases" where it can be transferred.  The new phone line works, but with a different number.  Is this just a temporary number, and if so, how long is it likely to take for the transfer to happen?  Or is a fait accompli and we are stuck with this new number?

Most likely, it's permanent, I'm afraid.
