Landline not working

I joined sky very recently and set up my broadband router and connected my landline as guided.  I was using my landline through a traditional phone connection with my previous provider.  Since I have set up my new sky router and connected my landline I have no phone service, not even a dial tone.  I've tried reconnecting it to the traditional line but that's now disconnected. I have tried all the troubleshooting and it's just not working. Now I am scared that I have lost my landline number. I am elderly and I need to have my landline as the mobile phone service is not good in my area. Please help.

@Tipp1949  Is there a voice light on the hub?  Is this lit up?  Have you plugged in the the socket on the hub marked UK?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
