Landline is dead

There is no dial tone when I lift up the receiver, and whenever calls come in the line just crackles. I've been through all of the troubleshooting steps but the problem persists. We had this issue a few years ago and the issue was with the external phone lines.

Is there any background to this? Are you new to Sky Talk (landline) or recently upgraded your broadband service.

No recent changes - we've been with Sky for years. We just noticed that our phone line stopped working a few nights ago. We've tried replacing the cable, and testing with a different phone, but there was no difference. Our broadband is fine.

First try the simple connection test here, even though your broadband is working ok https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

If it doesn't detect any fault, it's probably best to report it to Sky. If you wish we can ask their messaging team to contact you here tomorrow, so that you can report it by way of a private online chat.
