Landline doesn't receive calls

Landline is not receiving any incoming calls apart from me from Sky mobile. Daughter can get through from different network, Shield is turned off & I can't get through to a single person on the 'phone. I've been through all the internet diagnostics. It's vital I can receive incoming calls as I have a head injury & have missed calls from my Dr's & Addenbrooke's hospital as the 'phone didn't ring. There's nothing wrong with my 'phone, Sky Shield has been turned off yet nothing's changed. I can call out but can't receive calls so what am I paying for exactly, apart from Broadband? I have to have a working landline & it's not working unless someone calls from a mobile. Please look into this urgently as I've missed vital operations because of this.

If possible, please can you also give s breakdown  of any calls from Addenbrooke's, which would be an 01223 UK number. Chances are they didn't bother 'phoning but I need proof please.

All the best

Jo

@jominion  You are not talking to Sky nor will they contact you or post any information regarding calls.

This is a customer helps customer forum.  I would give Sky  a call to log the issue.

You can call on 150 from a Sky Talk Line or Sky Mobile.

If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:
(UK) https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number
(ROI) on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.

Stay on the line and don’t hang up if prompted to. Apparently the quieter times to ring are just after 7am or about 9pm.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Landline doesn't receive calls

After a number of attempts to fix the problem whereby I cannot reliably recieve phonecalls to my Sky talk landline. Sky technical have been able to get this issue resolved temporarily wher a test call gats through and random attemts to call into the home phone work but I am guessing a 90% failure rate. This problem has persisted since January

I was advised the problem stems from the telephone number porting from the original 'custodians' of the number ending in 308 - Talk Talk.

This was later transferred to Vodafone without issue,

then to Sky - without issue

In November/December 2022 the number was transferred back to Vodafone without isse

but I decided to return to SKY in January 2023 and I have encountered problems ever since.

I was advised by Viktor that he probles is with Talk Talk not releasing the number despite a naumber of requests made by Sky. I have reported this to Ofcom and asked them to interven (Talk Talk will not discuss anything with me)

I have provided endless photos of the installation at my home and spent hours talking to Sky technicians who seem to be powerless to actually do anything.

This really isn't satisfactory and I am seriously regretting refturning to Sky

I want this resolved and I also want all funds I paid in advance to be returned to me without delay

You'll need to follow up both directly with Sky.

So far that's been futile
