Land line cordless issue

Recently changed from bt to sky. Seemless change except land line. I have a set of cordless BT synergy phones. These worked perfectly plugged into wall and also perfectly when BT changed to plug into the hub. I plugged them into the sky hub. No dial tone No connection. I plugged a standard corded phone in and it works fine. Any ideas.?

Unfortunately it looks like your BT cordless phones aren't compatible with Sky VOIP.

Re: Land line cordless issue

Does anyone have recommendations for cordless phones compatible with the sky router?

Any standard cordless phone should be fine. Not a VOIP phone and not one designed for BT's Digital
Voice service (I'm thinking that might have been the issue with your BT cordless phone)

@triky

I believe 'Synergy' branding long pre-dates 'Digital Voice' and so they should be generic DECT under the hood.

A quick look for manuals from that range shows them copywrited around 15 year ago: I guess that makes it possible there are compatibility issues with the ATA in a Sky Broadband Hub.

BT would presumably have tested their own Smart Hub 2 with phones they have supplied going back quite a while.
