Landlime NOT working

My landline has not worked in months.  I have tried to plug and unplu cables but still no connection or ring tone.  I really need an engineer to come out and sort this because I am paying for a service that I am not getting.

Have you not reported it before? Did this coincide with you switching to Sky? Or was your landline with Sky working before? Is there a dial tone?

Join the club. I can't make outgoing calls and Skys customer service is so good there is no way of registering a complaint. This is the first and last time with this company.

I can't make outgoing calls in an area with poor mobile reception. It's now a digital line due to Openreach kindly switching off the old phone lines. I cannot find anyway of making a complaint. The chatbot is completely useless. 
On switching to Sky in December I had no service at all both broadband and phone line for over 10 days. It took repeated complaints to get this rectified. Then my request for a refund for the non existent service was initially refused.

If you haven't done it yet try the below line test. Disregard it saying it will test your broadband

These are the current methods for contacting Sky. Some contact methods will be more appropriate than others depending on the issue you have.

🟣 📞 Call Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or your Sky Talk landline if you have Sky Broadband. The forum doesn’t allow the display of other numbers but official numbers to Sky from the UK are 03 numbers which are usually inclusive from non Sky phones.

All calls will start automated (aka ‘the bot’) which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and sometimes saying nothing when asked the reason for the call helps being put in the queue for an agent.

🟣Sky Assistant 💬 should also be available via

for most service issues and gives you 24/7 help and a quick response. It should provide you with multiple choice options based on your problem and will provide troubleshooting steps to fix any service issues.

🟣Social Media You can also get in touch via the messaging services on Facebook or Instagram, (links at the bottom of the forum page).

🟡Note ~ ROI customers If you’re in the ROI make sure the flag in the bottom right of any link is showing the correct flag and change if required. The Sky Ireland phone lines have different operating hours to the UK and are closed over a weekend.

I always found it difficult to speak to anyonwe aas I was passed from pillar to post.  There is no dialling tone but the screen on the phone reads that there is an issue with the connection.

Is your phone plugged into the socket at the back of your broadband Hub?

 

Do you have a black Hub or a white one?

 

If,it's black, is the LED on the front panel labelled Voice illuminated? A,ber or green?

This is absolutely no help at all. Just repeating the standard platitudes. How can I call sky if my phone isn't working. The bots are simply a joke designed to frustrate the poor customer.

it shows how non existent the customer service is that you have to use social media to try to get a response.

The phone is plugged into the wall connection for the phone as it has always been.  The new router is in another wall connection which was connected recently, approx a month or 6 weeks ago.
