How to get a new landline installed
I've just signed up again for internet, but I need a new landline installed as the line that is installed is an old copper one and runs into the neighbours property as it was a joint property.
How do I get a new one installed to our property that is installed on our property and not across the neighbours?

If Openreach has no record of a telephone line serving your property, Sky will arrange for one to be installed.to fulfill your order.

Re: How to get a new landline installed
I may have not made myself clear. there is a 'line' to my property but it goes through the neighbouring properties building. At one time both my and the neighbouring property was an Equine clinic a line was put in from the clinic to my property as it was used as a grooms abode while looking after the horses etc overnight. It was then split and my house was sold off with the clinic leased out to a bathroom dealer. But unknown to me when we bought the property the 'phone line' still ran from/through the clinic [now bathroom shop] to the BT sockets then underground to the OpenReach pole. Up to now it's been NO problem the line was independant of the Shop.
Now we have a buyer for our property but they are not happy that the 'phone line' runs through next door.
Does anyone have any thoughts/helpful comments on how to get the phoneline taken out of the building next door and rerouted along to my property [we do live in a rural area, verges and lanes] No pole near to me.
I did find a form for Open reach which I did fill in though the questions did not relate to my issues. Anyone know how long they take to respond?

Re: How to get a new landline installed
@DHP1 generally Openreach don't deal with end consumers. I think you'll need to speak to Sky about it,

Presumably the cable arrives underground. Typically there will be several copper pairs in such a connection so serving two properties is quite possible: a potential significant complication is if the area is designated for fibre priority though.

TimBgood
Thank you for your imput. While I do understand your reply it still won't be good enough for our buyers they want a 'dedicated' phone line into our property not one [though as your reply said it's feasable for two properties to use the same line] that actually goes through the building; when in reality the lessee could and did at one point strip out all the phone wiring as he wasn't going to use it as he was using a 'starlight? system, cut us off. very kindly he reconnected us with new wiring.
I'm not sure that SKY can help and if they could which of those 'press 1,2,3,4,5,6' options would I pick😁
to be honest it's doing my head in as I'm being passed from pillar to post and getting nowere.

I'm guessing that Sky's issue reporting interface with Openreach is electronic with pre-defined fault categorisation, none of which include an issue with a functional phone line.
If you wish, we can ask the Community's messaging team to contact you via a private online chat, to see if they can identify with you a way to progress this?

I will be away to day between 12pm and 3pm. Husband in for Cancer Treatment. Hence the need to sell our property asap to get closer to facillities.

Re: How to get a new landline installed
@DHP1 I'm an OAP too 😁
It's a bit like an extended online chat. Once started, the chat remains open for 48 hours and then automatically closes, so it doesn't matter if you're away for a few hours - you just pick up from where you left off. Likewise, replies from the Messsging team may not be instant, so you just go about your day while awaiting their response. The details of how it works are here, if you want to take a look: https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Did-you-know/Escalating-a-post-to-a-Sky-expert/ba-p/3711147
Just let us know if you want to go ahead.
