Help with connection options

I'd like to ask for help connecting a landline to my hub. For reasons that are not worth going into my max hub is located in a connected building adjacent my house. We get WiFi in the house by connecting a switch to the hub via ethernet and then have multiple access points in the house broadcasting WiFi. In addition we have a q box. I want to connect a landline to the hub but a direct connection is if no use as an extension cable is not possible and connecting a base station doesn't allow sufficient signal to be be broadcast. Is there a way of connecting via a WiFi or hard wired adapter via the switch or one of the access points? Thanks Or could

Welcome to the Community @Clinton999

You may already be aware that we're mainly customers here, not Sky customer services.

That's a tricky situation. The only way of connecting to Sky's landline service is via the physical port at the back of the Hub. Unlike BT's Digital Voice service, there's no wifi option. Unfortunately that means either a cordless DECT phone or a physical cable/extension cable, both of which you've discounted for understandable reasons.

Is there any possibility of relocating the Max Hub in your house, perhaps using the ethernet cable already in place?

No, no and no, because the Sky Talk service is only IP from the Hub outwards to the internet.  On the subscriber-side of the phone port it's analogue signalling over a copper pair.

If you are on full fibre then the ONT can be on one end of the long ethernet and the Hub on the other (although this complicates having internet access in the 'connected building')

Thanks for your reply.

I think I'll need to get openreach to move the ont to the house and then perhaps try a long range digital phone to enable phone use in the connected building.
