Given new landline number is it Ex directory

We were given a new landline number when we joined Sky talk

Is the number Ex-directory, ie not showing on any search sites like the old system when you went 'ex-directory,'?

If not how do we ensure this please

@MG57 it won't automatically be ex-directory, but Sky can arrange it if you ask them to.

Thank you. I managed to get through to Sky via the automated hell before speaking to a real person. They said they "automatically put people on ex-directory" and the guy did check as well to confirm this.

Note that ex-directory does not mean unreachable: scammers using automated 'dialing' over VOIP don't need to know the number because they just call every numerical combination.
