FF2P , Corded Telephone Handset to Router Cable

ADSL Cable RJ11 to RJ11 Modem Lead for Broadband Connections doesnt fit socket on back of router marked UK phone symbol, fits socket next to it, no dial tone, what cable do i need please, guides I have read all appear to relate to old openreach socket on wall setup pre FF2P.

@cooldude666 I'm guessing the phone base has an RJ11 socket - I was thinking more of an RJ11 to BT cable - something like this should be suitable.

@cooldude666 I'm not sure that a modem cable is wired the same way as a phone cable. Are you in the UK?

Yes in UK,  RJ11  Cable fits  Italia socket get dialling tone, cant make or receive calls.

@cooldude666 a previous post indicates that both the UK and Italia ports are active at the same time, so it does look like the cable is the issue. A standard UK phone should terminate in a BT connector which would fit the UK port. What make and model phone do you have?

Phone is Doro PhoneEasy 311c 

 

I cannot find anything anywhere RJ11 to  suitable connector to fit socket marked  UK phone on back of router.

@cooldude666 were you using the phone prior to moving to full fibre broadband? If so, it should simply be a matter of transferring the connection from the wall socket to the UK socket at the back of the broadband Hub?

 

The other thing to consider is that there might be a fault with the landline service.

I have had FF2P for 2 years with BT, ditched phone and cabling as was not expecting to have phone again.

 

Is  RJ11 to RJ45 cable you thinking of,
