Does anyone know how to get a digital landline adapter so that I can use an additional handset in a different room. When I was with EE they sent one free with no hassle.

@Olly641 Sky don't provide them, I'm afraid. So far as I know it's only BT/EE that do, and they're bespoke to their broadband Hubs.

Re: Digital landline adapter
Sky don't do adapters unfortunately so if you want another phone in a different room then you'd need to have a DECT phone/phones whereby the first phone is plugged into the Sky hub and any additional phones connect wirelessly to the first phone. Some people use something called "digital voice reinjection" to use their old extension sockets though, this is more complicated and personally I would use DECT phones.

Re: Digital landline adapter
@Mark39 It does work with Sky, doesn't matter if it's "supported" or not as it's your phone sockets in your home. They however won't advise on it but as mentioned it does work.

Re: Digital landline adapter
@Tommy2 sure it will "work", but Sky won't resolve any issues that may arise, or give any assistance with voice reinjection or set it up..

Re: Digital landline adapter
@Mark39 Yes that's fine but I wouldn't expect them too as your internal extension sockets have always been your responsibility as customer. They will however still help with general issues with the phone. I don't use digital voice injection and Sky generally just referred me to phone manufacturer and told me my phone didn't work with VOIP (even though it did)

Re: Digital landline adapter
@Mark39 if there was a fault with your internet before FTTP then you were always told to check the master socket and that the extensions weren't their responsibility.
Anyway shouldn't be an issue tbh

Re: Digital landline adapter
@Mark39 Yes certainly is irrelevant now, but you were the one that mentioned it. Hope this explains it.

As @Mark39 indicates, only EE and BT have such hardware. EE is a BT Group brand and BT has been in the telephone hardware business for over a century: it appears that this isn't a sector where other ISPs wish to compete.
