Cannot make or receive calls on landline

My elderly mother is unable to make or receive phone calls from her Sky landline. She's had issues in the past with trees outside of her house damaging the phone lines. I can't see how I'm able to report the problem to Sky and book an engineer - any suggestions on how I can get her phone fixed and working again?

 

Any help would be appreciated as she lives on her own with nedical needs and needs the telephone.

Are you authorised to speak to Sky on her behalf (and know her telephone password)? If so we can possibly get you some help on here but it may be better if you're at her address because Sky may try some troubleshooting before potentially passing any fault to Openreach for investigation.

She's asked me to try and get it working again but she's in Nottingham while I'm in London. I don't know her telephone password and she wouldn't know it either as she never calls them. I have access to her online account with her permission.

 

We've had the same problem before with trees damaging the overhead line but I can't remember how I managed book an engineer

Sky are unlikely to talk to you and you probably won't pass the security questions. In your Mums circumstances it may be worth her being registered with the Sky Accessibility Team who may be able to help now or in the future. Once registered there are also different methods of communication with this team
