Can't receive or make landline calls. Tried everything sky suggested.

Can't make or recieve any callls at all. Can phone my home number & it rings but not in house.

Tried everything Sky suggested, from unplugging & replugging filters to even taking all sockets apart to make sure no broken or loose wires. All to no avail. It's even a brand new phone. The only thing that's not been checked is the line from BT pole to my house.

Any out there got a SOLUTION?

The next step would be to call Sky to report a fault.

Thanks Mark, we'll be having a think about that.

It's the very first time we've had a problem with sky because everything else works fine.

@YAH
If you already have a Sky Mobile call free by just dialling 150, otherwise you can use:
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides an 0333 number.
ROI: change the flag in the very bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides an 0818 number.
(The forum filters don’t allow us to type the digits in full).

As with most large companies the start will be automated but stay on the line and don’t hang up if you’re prompted to. Depending on your particular issue the operating times of the various departments may differ.

If you are thinking about it this may sway you. See this link re auto compensation for when there is a total loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk. https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full working days from when you first report the fault to Sky, you will become eligible for it once the fault has been fixed. It will come in the form of a credit appearing on your account.

Faults do arise, occasionally. Overhead cables seem to be more susceptible than buried cables.

What's concerning you about calling? Perhaps we can help.

Just a small issue of our neighbours tree that's growing over our & next-door lines.

We've asked a few times when it's beening sorted & had reply of soon.

He has a few family issues at moment & we don't want to had to them.

Understood. Yes, as you've surmised it's likely that Openreach would want them to prune back the tree as at least part of the solution.
