Can someone troubleshoot a phone problem?

Had fibre installed this morning, now I haven't got a landline. I've done the obvious, switch off and reboot the router. But nothing

It can take up to 24 hours for the phone service to fully activate. Just a check at this stage that your phone is plugged into your broadband Hub?

Do you have a black Hub or a white one?

Re: Can someone troubleshoot a phone problem?

It's a white hub and the phone line is plugged into it

@StickeC I'd suggest waiting until tomorrow, and then carrying out a factory reset by pressing the WPS button on the Hub for 30 seconds.

If you still have no landline service then, it's best reported to Sky. If you post again tomorrow, we can ask Sky's messaging team to contact you here so that you can report it via a private online chat.

Re: Can someone troubleshoot a phone problem?

My landline is now fully working. What's the best number to speak to someone in relation to a couple of things. 1. Apparently the engineer said I've got sky sports for free for 2 months then I would have to pay for it.(don't want it anyway) 2. The engineer said I'm now with Sky for my phone instead of BT. I had a package with BT with free calls in the evening and weekends. Do I still have that?

@StickeC

The default tariff when joining is Pay As You Talk whereby all calls are chargeable (not counting calls to Sky and freephone numbers).

Dial 150 from your landline to call Sky and discuss your options for a different tariff. There is a similar tariff which costs £8 per month.

Re: Can someone troubleshoot a phone problem?

Thanks all. All sorted now. Sky sports is being removed as I didn't ask for it.

Only if 'Sky Talk Evenings and Weekends Extra' is on your broadband subscription.
