If your BT cordless phone is designed to work with BT's Digital Voice service, it's proprietary and won't work with Sky. I have a cordless standard DECT phone and the phone is only returned to the base unit overnight to recharge (in fact the user guide advises not to leave it on the charger all the time, in order to preserve battery health.)

Re: Bedroom hub
You just need a standard cordless DECT phone. A base station plugs into the Hub and a cordless handset connects wirelessly to the base station.

Re: Bedroom hub
Thanks, I have a BT cordless unit with an ansaphone base, but if I bring the handset into the living area I'm not sure the battery will last
i suppose what I need is a silent base for the bedroom and a separate handset with charging base
