BT 8500 digital phone not working when plugged into New Sky Hub
Hi having today completed my installation of my ultrafast broadband, plugged my home phone into the rear of the new hub, they are a BT 8500 digital phones but they don't work, help would be appreciated

@Chloe142 what hub did you get black or white ?
I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

A white one, and the engineer plugged it into the back of the hub uk line

do you know a neighbour who has a working line you can test them or can you borrow a simple known working phone to plug into your white router to see if the line is actually working. Mine did not work since day one (white Hub) it took 2 weeks and a lot of calls to get it fixed.

@Chloe142 try factory resetting your Hub, by pressing and holding the WPS button for 30 seconds.

Update, disappointed to say the least with Sky, apparently there waiting activation by Openreach as I said my ultrafast was installed almost a week ago, yet my previous supplier has just been disconnected, how long does it take a openreach engineer to activate, this has been going on since Monday, my nan is 88 and relies on her landline to call me on ours, how long is a piece of string

Phone line still not activated
Had ultrafast installed a week ago, apparently openreach have to activate the phone line that is plugged into the new white Sky hub, I am still waiting and still no phone line, This phone line is purely for my 88 year old Gran to call us on our landline,I won't know if the phone works until it's activated, how long now so dissapointed

Phone line
Hello does anybody know the procedure for the phone line that is plugged into the back of the white sky max hub being activated. Ultrafast fitted 7 days ago and still waiting for my phone line to be activated, spoke to sky everyday and told different things, 72 hrs apparently it takes them to activate it and therte waiting for BT to hand it over, its an absolute joke

Sky are aware of an issue with the Max (white) Hub which affects some customers, causing a delay in activation of the Talk service.

If thats the case why dont they be honest with me, all they keep telling me it should be working by today and it takes 72 hrs, my BT copper landline still has a dialing tone, should this be on or will it stop once Sky take over the line
