The phone can take a full 24 hours to complete activation. Check the front of your broadband Hub. There are 4 lights. The one labelled 'Voice' should be green. If it's still amber in the morning, restart your Hub by switching off at the plug for 30 seconds.
Your phone must be plugged into the Hub. There's a phone socket at the back. It won't work in the normal wall socket.

Re: Alison
What lights do you currently have on your router?
Is it an VOIP Landline? Ensure you have your landline cable plugged into the back of your router if so.
My views are my own and I will assist where possible.
Sky Q 2TB UHD, 2X Mini Box, Sky BB UF1, Booster 4

@Biggles1968Is there 4 green lights on the front of the router?

Re: Alison
@Biggles1968 with regard to your Sky Q boxes, have you set up your new WiFi details on each box? Otherwise they'll probably be looking for your old Hub.
As @Dallen9798 posted your phone must be plugged into the socket at the back of your broadband Hub. It won't work from the normal wall socket.

Re: Alison
I am 66 years of age and my husband is 70. I am pretty good even for my age dealing with IT and computer issues but this was way beyond me. Lovely Jack came and fitted our fibre optic. Job done!! But we at our age had to change the wi fi stuff on all of our devices, phones, ring doorbell, hive, tv. Not Jacks job !! Lucky for me I am computer literate and sorted our tv, hive, mobiles etc etc . But our sky q boxes in multi rooms were not working!! I got so upset and distressed and with a heart problem I had to calm down and chill out. I have a lovely young relative who came and sorted it. I would never have been able to do it. I thought Sky engineer would have come to make sure all connected and working. No. Rang sky and couldn't get anybody to help! Only people I could talk to was for buying stuff. Thank god for my friend. My phone line still not working! App says being processed!! Why can't older people speak to someone instead of being diverted to links. It's so upsetting! Nearly caused me a heart attack with stress !
