sky+ box records for a few minutes then fails, has message      Technical fault - 7 (29)     any ideas?  have rebooted the box several times.

The box is not much longer for this world .... time to change to a service Sky currently support or get a secondhand Sky+ HD DRX890😉

@Pandora2287 Technical fault 7 usually relates to a hard disk fault. You could try the Planner Reduild @Annie+UK recommended, or if that doesn't resolve it, a full System Reset (that will delete all your recordings). However, if either works, it's likely to be a temporary resolution, and the box is on its last legs as @Exiled-in-HH posted.

 

You can source your own used replacement Sky+HD cheaply from ebay etc or now might be the time to consider switching to Sky Q.
