Viewing card needs pairing to box can someone talk me through it please

I am having grief trying to sort out my viewing card Needs pairing

Is this to a box it previously worked with or a newly acquired or spare box?

No just came to my wife's,thought I d used it on her hardware.

You won't be able to pair it to a different box to the normal box it's normally in.

Why not my card should be able to use on strange box?

You cannot move a Sky card between boxes any more as Sky have changed the rules on this

Cards are now locked to a single box, the one they were last paired to

Annie. So how do I go about accessing it ,while I am at my missusss?I will be here for a whiile 3 months or more?

The account holder at that address would have to contact Sky who will discuss the options of upgrading to Sky Q, Glass or Stream to continue to watch via a Sky subscription.

Below is from Sky's Terms & Conditions

 

4.4. You must only use the Viewing Card for private viewing purposes. You must not use it for any commercial or business purpose or in any premises other than your address.

 

4.5. The Viewing Card must not be used outside the country (either the UK or Republic of Ireland) it was supplied for use in.
