Veiwing card not authorised

We applied to upgrade to Sky Q last year, engineer came but we couldn't proceed as not compatible with our antenna as we live on a narrowboat. Therefore we have continued to use our original equipment, but was told we needed to use the updated card which was sent a few days before the engineer came. Thus has worked perfectly since that day until this afternoon when we were watching Sky. This went off and we got the message stating that our Sky card is not authorised. Please advise
