Hi. Have bought a new TV & have set it up ok. Put old TV into bedroom & although I can link to my sky+ box in the living room, I can't change channel from the bedroom. I was able to do this before changing TVs. My magic eye is lit so I think it's working ok & my RF outlet is ON. (Managed to link the box by using the 'TV' in Source & channel searching. Can't get anything on 'Ext' which is what I was on before?) Any advice gratefully accepted. Please note, not great at tech 😏

Try unplugging the magic eye from the bedroom TV, leaving it connected to the end of the coax cable. Turn off the TV at the plug. Then try changing the channel on your Sky box via the magic eye. Obviously you'll have to check via the living room TV to see if the channel has changed. Let us know if the magic eye then works.

Ok, so the TV's not the problem. Next I'd suggest testing the magic eye directly in the RF2 socket.To do that, first cover up the front panel of your Sky box and make sure it no longer responds to the remote when you try to change channel.
Then plug the magic eye straight into the RF2 socket at the rear of your Sky box (or if your Sky box doesn't have RF sockets and you're using an IO Link, plug it into the IO Link). Just unplug the cable going to your TV upstairs and plug the magic eye in instead.
Then see if the Sky box changes channel when you point the remote at the magic eye.

That hasn't worked either 😢 Does this mean I'm stuck running back & forward to change the channel?

If the magic eye is not working directly on the RF2 socket and the RF power is turned on in the hidden menu then this would indicate a fault with the magic eye and as these can be purchased for well under £10 I'd try replacing it with a new one

Mark39 thanks very much for your time & help with this. A new magic eye it is 😀

@Annie+UK thank you. That's what I'll try 😀 x

Try positioning the magic eye as far away from the TV screen as possible as it looks like the IR signal from the remote is being blocked when the TV is on
