Sky sports not working

One one of my boxes I get the message "This viewing card is not authorised. If you have a new card please insert it now" For help go to skyviewinghelp.com

You'll need to give Sky a call, I'm afraid, for a replacement Viewing Card.

this is my problem too. I am so frustrated with the virtual assistant and need a real person on the other end of the phone. 

Any possibility of a phone number you can give me please?

These are the current methods for contacting Sky, and some will be more appropriate than others …

🟧 📞 Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or your Sky Talk landline if you have Sky Broadband. The forum doesn’t allow the display of other numbers but official numbers to Sky from the UK are 03 numbers which are usually inclusive from non Sky phones.

All calls will start automated (aka ‘the bot’) which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and sometimes saying nothing when asked the reason for the call helps being put in the queue for an agent.

🟩Note ~ ROI customers If you’re in the ROI make sure the flag in the bottom right of any link is showing the correct flag and change if required. The Sky Ireland phone lines have different operating hours to the UK and are closed at a weekend.

I dont have Sky Broadband. I just need a phone number to call for customer service. I have done a bit of reseacrch and its possible that I need Stream rather than my old Sky+

You can still upgrade to Sky Q but you can't order that online. You need to call.

Thanks. Believe it or not Sky tried to install Q last October- at their suggestion as I am a long standing customer- but it wont work due to satellite location and house walls and said they would call about Stream.  Except they didn't!

I will  rummage through the virtual stuff again. to find the phone.

Living nightmare for someone like me I am afraid. Apols.

Hi -people. Sometimes its good to see what happened in the end for info.

I have Sky+HD- old system.

I got a text to say my Sky Sports had been resolved. Maybe but it wasnt on my TV! I took my life in my hards and called again and after a couple of transfers was put in touch with the 'technical dept' The guy appreciated my stresses and the upshot was he put a new viewing card in the post. It works. 

Before I was passed to him I had a frustrating chat with someone who wanted me to have Sky Glass. It really is difficult to get a human being who can deal with things in the round but I got there in the end and appreciate the guy who helped me so effectively. Why couldn't they do this before? 

Whether I should find a way to thank the guy and also get a bill deductiojn for the time my service was down are interesting questions as it means hellishly complex virtual assistants- 'assistant' is a misnomer! .
