Sky plus to Sky Q problem

After a call from Sky I agreed to move from Sky plus to Sky Q. I was given an installation date just under 6 weeks away .

Went to view on my tv which is part of my multi room package and it wouldn't work on Sky.
After one and a half hours talking to 4 different people I was told my multi room had been switched off by Sky in readiness for Sky Q almost 6 weeks away.

It cannot be switched back on again, I was not told this would happen assuming it would be switched off on the day of installing the new system.
No apology just get on with it. I'm paying for multi room that Sky have switched off without telling me. If I broke the conditions of our contract I would be in trouble.

Has anyone had this problem and had a solution?

Presumably you'll no longer be paying for Multiscreen, if Sky have made it unavailable to you.

hi @VAL+PURDY

Yes other customers have experienced this.

We are not too sure but we think it is part of the system as the account is switched to SKY Q which has a different 'Multscreen' rather the SKY + 'Multiroom'

Unfortunately, it also seems that they can't switch the multirrom boxes back on (or even vaguely possible  that they don't want to , as they are driving everyone to SKY Q)

In the past it was not as big a problem as install times were within a week or so but with the reduction in Engineers installation lead times seem to be being extended to several weeks.

JUst so that other info doesn;t com as a surprise, you may, also, wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q
