Disconnected is not a clear indication.
when the volume changes the program I'm viewing cuts out ( black screen )
sky box unresponsive for 15 - 20 seconds. Sometimes longer requiring a power off.

in addition to the sky remote ( which was replaced a week or so ) I have the Logitech remote which causes the same problem. The tv is a Panasonic with the tv speakers disabled as I have a Bose solo 5 speaker for sound.
I forced a reload this morning to see if that may help with no effect.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreOdd. It appears the IR signal for changing the volume upsets your Sky box. Is your remote programmed to control your TV volume or your Bose volume or both? Or does your TV control the Bose volume?

the tv speakers are disabled, the only sound is through the Bose speaker
