Hi all
I have the old sky+ hd box and just called sky as my contract has expired.
I did have sky signature with the hd pack but wanted to downgrade to sky entertainment but was told this package no longer exists. Apparently sky signature is now the base package at £34 per month. Can somebody confirm this is correct?
I did ask several times and they insisted this is the case.
I've looked online and can see entertainment packages on sky stream at £19 but obviously I'm on the old box so presume that can't be applied to me. It's just for the most basic package £34 seems quite a lot. I could take it and remove my hd subscription to reduce costs but just want to be sure this really is the basic package now.
if I get a sky q box instead are there any cheaper packages?
thanks as always for any replies I get
jim

The current Entertainment package is for Sky Stream, and differs from the old Entertainment package that was then one of the base packages for Sky Q and Sky+

The Essentials package is cheaper, but just gives you the free to air channels + the ability to record.

'Entertainment' hasn't been the baseline bundle for several years.

The offering on Stream is 'Ultimate TV' (Signature plus Netflix) by another name.

Thanks for the replies and info.
I can see if I had sky q I could pay around the same, keep my hd and get Netflix for the same cost so it might be time to consider getting sky q.
I can see the sky stream deals are different things. Or sky tv essentials may be an option next time round.
thanks again for the info.

Just wanted to let you know that I know someone who gets sky essentials on their sky + HD box for £15 a month.

Certainly, although I'd observe that £180 a year is a lot to keep paying out for what's essentially recurring annual rental of a very elderly HD Freesat recorder with extremely limited online capability.
A brand new 2TB Freesat 4K box with onboard UHD apps can be purchased for £299 (outside special offer periods)
