Re: Sky catchup unusable
Very frustrating for everyone!
Do Sky have an email I can contact them on? Hopefully, if enough people complain, they will look into it properly

@Geering1993 wrote:Referring back to the answer Annie+Uk has given, how do i find the unique IP address for the box? Do I need that, or just change the other part to 1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1? Thanks
If you Sky box was previously using DHCP then you are best off leaving it like that and changing the DNS setting in your router's configuration/admin panel. If you don't know what you are doing with manual configuration then you could make things worse, or invite problems in the future if other devices on your network are using DHCP and your router assigns the address you manually configured for your Sky box. If you don't understand what I mean, or how DHCP works or DHCP address ranges you are better off leaving everything on your network configured to use DHCP and hope that Sky and/or their content delivery network and/or our ISPs sort the underlying problem out.

Re: Sky catchup unusable
I see some customers on the Sky Q board suffering a similar issue have followed the advice provided by @Annie+UK on this thread and it's apparently resolved it for them.

Re: Sky catchup unusable
@Daniel0210 seems maybe not @GeoffH has just advised that it worked for him last night but now the issue has returned and he is unable to download again. Including BBC which was not an issue before.

Networking is more of a mystical art than a science 🙂 Good to know others are finding the info helpful

Re: Sky catchup unusable
Thanks Geoff.
I don't feel confident enough to change things right now so will be patient and see if it gets resolved. Thanks a lot for your help though

Re: Sky catchup unusable
All your answers are brilliant, but to anyone who doesn't have a clue regarding the Sky network setup, they are overwhelming. I'm close to backing down, ringing Sky and getting them out here to do what they have to do whether it be fixing or replacing. I don't have a smart TV either but everything worked fine previously.

Re: Sky catchup unusable
Sky won't send an engineer for any Sky+ issue. It hasn't been supported for over a year now.

Re: Sky catchup unusable
I just spoke to someone in the technical department. They said there were a lot of other users experiencing difficulties and they're escalating the problem. They advised us to wait for them to provide a solution, but I'm not holding my breath.
