Sky+ box needs rebuilding daily

We have had nothing but trouble from our sky+ box from day one, We have been round and round in circles trying to get it sorted and 2 years on, it's still annoyingly ineffective. Almost every day we have the pop up about 'resetting the internet connection' and that we 'already have an internet connection' and 'press back up to cancel'. Pressing back up makes it disappear for a few seconds and then it pops up again - over and over and over again. We have tried EVERYTHING. Unplugging everything, re-formatting everything, connecting via Ethernet cable (rather than Wi-Fi), you name it, we've tried it! The only thing that (temporarily) works is to re-build the planner... but we are having to do this almost every day and some days more than once! It's is SO frustrating!! I can't even find out how/where we can buy a new box? I see there are hundreds for sale on eBay but would that even work? I can't find out what's involved with upgrading to sky Q - how much it costs, what's involved, would that solve our problem? Again, searching this on the sky website just sends you round and round in circles with no answers!

Sky does sell Sky+ boxes and haven't done for a while now so sites like auction sites will be your only option and if you do make sure you order a 890 or 895 model of box as they have the latest software on them. 

 

You don't have to upgrade to Sky Q if you don't want to but if you do then calling will be the best way as they might give you a discount to tempt you to do this.
