Sky + box N/W
Continuous message saying 'box still initializing, please try later' I've since found out the hard drive is likely goosed, spoke to Sky who don't do Sky + anymore and offered me Sky stream at exorbitant rates, my area is not engineered for Sky Q, any suggestions would be appreciated. Regards Graham.

Re: Sky + box N/W
There isn't much more we can suggest, if you don't want Sky Q then Sky Stream is your only other option, either that or if you are not in any contract with Sky that you cancel to go elsewhere.

Re: Sky + box N/W
To stay with Sky you'll need to subscribe to Glass or Stream if Sky Q is definitely not an option but research both throughly first.

Re: Sky + box N/W
A constant initialising message is associated with a problem with the signal from your dish, not the hard drive. The box can't initialise without a signal.
Not sure what Sky mean by your area not being engineered for Sky Q - unless you live in a flat, perhaps? A dish that can receive a Sky+ compatible signal can receive a Sky Q compatible signal too, after the LNB on the arm has been changed.

Re: Sky + box N/W
We're still getting all the channels although not pause/rewind, so one would assume the signal is OK.
- We do live in a flat served by a communal dish ( approx 100 outlets) when we decided to go for Sky Q, they arranged for an engineer to visit who, on arrival told us the terrace wasn't engineered for it. ! !

Re: Sky + box N/W
You're limited to Sky Stream then, unfortunately.
