Sky TV Recording BBC Signed Versions – How to Stop It

Why are my BBC recordings on Sky showing the signed (BSL) versions, and how can I stop

Make sure you're recording the first showings of programmes, not repeats which carry sign language. For example The Repair Shop won't have signing if you record it tomorrow at 8pm on BBC One, but the repeat on BBC Two on Monday morning will have signing.

Why are the BBC programmes available on the Sky+ Home menu only recording with sign language? Is there a way to stop this and record the original version instead? I know, in theory, I could record at a later date — but that shouldn’t be necessary with Sky+.

You posted the same on the Sky Q board yesterday so I've merged your threads into one, and as you now state you have Sky+ I've moved it to the appropriate board.

That's a question for the BBC

Yes. Record the non-signed version. You can't remove signing from a programme which carries it.
