Sky+HD not booting up after power cut.

.Had a power cut yesterday and sky+HD BOX not booting up.

Leave it off at the plug for at least 4 minutes,  then restart it. What actually happens? Any lights? Does it show the initialising message?

It’s as if it’s trying to boot up...........red light on standby......press power, it starts up, Green light comes the slowly dies. Green light stays on.

Try a power on software update. Switch the box off at the plug and leave it for 4 minutes. Press and hold the Backup button (on the box) while turning on at the plug. Keep the Backup pressed until the 4 lights on the front panel flash, then release it and follow the on screen instructions.
