Yesterday (Friday 7th Jun) we were trying to watch (via Sky+ box, Sky F1 channel 406) the Canadian GP Practice sessions but the live feed was constantly stuttering and the TV pictures pixelated/distorted. Box would also default to the no satellite connection page and then re-establish a connection with the same unwatchable stuttering.
Today (Sat 8th Jun) we thought we would watch the practice on channel 406 thinking that perhaps it's only the live coverage that was being affected. Unfortunately, even the practice sessions from yesterday were stuttering and distorted.
I have no idea what's going on but this seems to be a known problem given the amount of online posts going back the last couple of years complaining about similar issues. One of the posts claimed that it's a known issue with Sky. We don't watch Cricket but we noticed that this channel was the same. Personally. we've only noticed this in the past couple of F1 races thinking it was just live TV hiccups.
Today we've also had massive broadband problems but as usual when you check your Sky services everything is ok. Sky down detector today for both broadband and TV seems to be reporting massive outages for people.
Does anybody have any idea on what's causing this? We're at the stage of cancelling Sky altogether. Every year the prices go up and I think the service is getting worse.
