Re: Signal issues

Thx

understand that they passed the maintenance of all equipment to the end user some time ago but I've been a customer pretty much since they started & at that time it was their equipment & they maintained it

will ring & have a conversation as I am sick of the error message - which only happens on recorded programs but is about every 10 mins

I pay a lot each month for the service & exiect better

You're most likely correct. Have you checked the dish connections at the back of your Sky box? That aside, you'll need an engineer to take a look. Unfortunately unless you have Sky Protect, Sky no longer provide engineer support for Sky+ equipment so you'll need to engage a local satellite installer.

Or now might be a convenient time to upgrade to Sky Q?

Re: Signal issues

Magic eye set up around my house has akways stopped me upgrading as newer boxes only have 1 connector at the back where sky+ have 2

I never held with the "the equipment is yours" - you pay a connection charge & a monthly rental - I never bought the box or the dish -

keep thanking me for being a customer for too many years to remember but cannot get to speak to a human or book an engineer

To be honest, there's no point trying to speak to Sky anyway for the reasons I posted previously. The only way they'll help is by offering you an upgrade.

Your terms and conditions make it clear that the dish etc are all your property.

If you want to call nonetheless, just say nothing when asked by the bot why you're calling and you'll eventually be asked if you want to speak to an adviser.

hi @Andysax

As @Mark39 mentions SKY no longer support SKY HD boxes- your payment to them is for the subscription.

SKY will only offer an 'upgrade' to SKY Q and  you may wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q

SKY +/HD to SKY Q

Alternatively they may offer SKY Glass or Stream.

For any issues with the dish or cabling you will need to contact an independent installer unless you have SKY Protect insurance (through D&G)
