Replaced old box with new but limited features
I couldn't series link on my old hd+box. I could only record programmes if on the same channel. I bought a new hd+box and installed it. It has the same issues. Could it be my sky that I transferred from old to new box? When I took it out the old box it looked very worn. Help

Re: Replaced old box with new but limited features
To be able to record any programme you would have to pair your Viewing Card with your replacement Sky box. Unfortunately that's no longer possible. Your Viewing Card is locked to the box you were using last October.

Re: Replaced old box with new but limited features
@Bailey31 first I would see if you can get your money back on the box you bought, as it's next to useless, except as just a receiver of the free to air channels.
Do you have two cables from your satellite dish? The problems with your old box are consistent with having no signal on one of the cables. Unfortunately Sky no longer provide engineer support for Sky+ equipment unless you have Sky Protect, but you could get a local satellite engineer to fix it for you.
Alternatively now might be a good time to consider upgrading to Sky Q. Any dish or cabling issues will be addressed as part of the Sky Q installation at no additional cost to you.
