I have an old Sky + box and use a mutiroom set up which has been working fine for a long time. Suddenly all three bedroom remote controls stopped working. The mainTv in lounge works fine and all remote controls work when pointed at the Sky+ box. Picture and sound all connect OK in all bedrooms, only problem remote controls don't work in the bedrooms. Tried pulling out all cables and reconnecting, including the unplugging the box.

@Pincroftwizard as the problem affects all the bedrooms, there are three possibilities:
1. Your Sky box's RF output (they don't normally fail)
2. The cable between your Sky box's RF2 output and the Labgear input
3. And as @Annie+UK suggested, the Labgear unit itself (especially if it's getting a bit long in the tooth).
There are various tests you could carry out to narrow it down, or you could take a punt on the problem being the Labgear. As it's the more expensivee bit of the setup, I'd be inclined to test if first, by connecting the input cable (the one from the Sky box) directly to one of the output cables (that is, the cable that goes to one of the TVs), thereby bypassing the Labgear. If the magic eye then works, the Labgear is the cause.

Re: Remote controls not working with SKy + multiroom
What do you mean by a multiroom setup?
Do you have a separate Sky box in the bedroom connected to the TV (that would be Multiroom/Multiscreen)?
Or is the bedroom TV connected by coax cable and a magic eye to a single Sky box in the lounge?

The latter, all the bedrooms are connected to a labgear distribution unit in the loft by coax cable and all have a magic eyes. So I have one SKy box in the lounge.

I would guess that is the common point of failure

Re: Remote controls not working with SKy + multiroom
With the help of the Community my problem has been resolved. Mark suggested a possible fault lay with the RF cable outlet and he was right. The RF cable goes into a splitter called an IObox. This was not connecting properly to a second Sky box, yes we have him and hers Sky boxes. I sorted out the connection and the problem instantly disappeared. Thanks to Sky Community.
