Recording red button events? Is this possible?

Just to let you know I have tried recording a red button match on a sky HD+ box (live alone so not worth paying for SKY Q) Cannot believe they have taken away the facility to record red button matches. Thankfully I tested it before I went out as want to watch the Spain Match tonight. What a disgrace. Why take something away that has proved useful.

It has never been possible to record a red button match on a Sky+ box, you can watch live but not record.

Sorry @caesarome but that's not correct. It's always been possible to record red button matches and was definitely available for the last round of midweek Championship games.

@bacalo  it was available tonight for me but you had to set the recording from 403 on the epg

You are incorrect I have recorded on red button all though the Euros last year. By the way worked out how to record one match at least on red button. Go to the main match enter and you will get the list of red button matches, click record on the match you want! Hey presto, as long as you are not recording the main match in main menu it works. Sad you can only do one. Obviously if matches at different times you are fine, just ensure no overlapping. So don't give false informaiton please. You can only not record if you go to the match via the 'i' button for interactive services.
