Re: No satellite signal on sky + box
- Mine shows the same but when using the 'bot' on rhe helpline it just keeps returning to the beginnng and not being able to help. We have some odd channels through the day but when u tried late last night all channels were back on. Got up this morning and they are all off again

@Mike603 it's not clear which post you're referring to and therefore what your Sky box is showing. When you tune to an affected channel and check your signal strengths (Services > Settings > Signal), is the white part of all 4 bars at least half way across?

Re: No satellite signal on sky + box
Managed to fix mine. I purchased a replacement LNB from Amazon, logged the angle that the existing one was installed, and installed the new to same. All now working.
Having reviewed the old LNB, the white rubber bit had perished and I presume this is the reason I lost input 1 and remaining signal
For those with sky plus hd having similar issues, try that as £15 LNB not a bad risk to take to try out.

Re: No satellite signal on sky + box
My twosky+ HD boxes have been showing no signal since Friday. I am thinking that the dish was either damaged or something has come loose in the recent storm.
Anyway I arranged a repair through sky protect online and was expecting an engineer today. As time passed I decided to go on my account to see if there was anything to show when the engineer was coming. The repair was showing as closed. I naturally phoned for an explanation. The guy said it shouldn't have been possible to book the repair online and they cancelled. Without even letting me know! Anyway the guy said they would not send someone to look at the dish as they don't manufacture the sky+ HD boxes so either I could get a sky Q box or get someone to repair it myself. Was he talking rubbish? Because, according to my policy as of March last year, I'm "still covered".

Sky Protect Device Insurance still covers Sky+ according to their FAQ, as long as it's a current ongoing policy.

Re: No satellite signal on sky + box
Thanks for this. I clicked the link and went to the part that said what is covered an it says all sky boxes. Is this what you're talking about? Is there anywhere that specifically mentions the sky+ HD boxes please? Thanks again.

Re: No satellite signal on sky + box
Although I'd note there's a contradiction on the Sky Protect website itself, because although HD is mentioned in the text, it cannot be selected...

I'd hope that would be sufficient.
