Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou can either buy a used replacement Sky+HD box from ebay etc or if you have a current subscription to Sky, you can upgrade to Sky Q

Thanks for coming back to me.
I do not subscribe for trhe skysat box.
If I could obtain a sky + hd box is there an ongoing cost.
What is the advantage of Upgrading to sky Q and at what cost
Regards
Colin

No, but there may be issues pairing your Viewing Card with the replacement box, if you don't have a subscription.

You have to have a subscription for Sky Q.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSky+HD boxes haven't been manufactured since 2016. Even to customers with a subscription, they no longer provide replacement Sky+ boxes. A replacement Viewing Card wouldn't make any difference (and Sky won't provide one anyway to a non-subcriber).

If you don't have any subscription to SKY & still want to receive TV via Satellite then you may be best getting a Freesat Box

Sky have moved to a subscription only loaned equipment business... The only Sky device you can now buy are Sky Glass TVs🤔
The "Manhattan SX Freesat HD Box" which is still available is your cheapest Freesat option😉
