New Sky dish?
My signal is dropping out very frequently. My sky dish is over 20 years old. Could I possibly need a new one to rectify this problem?

Re: New Sky dish?
If you have Sky+ (where you've posted) Sky no longer support the set up so any new dish will need sourcing and fitted by a local independent satellite company at your own expense.

Re: New Sky dish?
The dish is probably ok, though it might need re-aligning. The LNB (where the cables connect) is likely to need replacing if it's 20 or so years old. It's conceivable, but less likely that the cables would need replacing.
A local satellite engineer would do the work for you, but Sky won't unless you have Sky Protect.
Alternatively, now might be a good time to upgrade to Sky Q. Any dish/cabling issues will be sorted out at no additional cost to you as part of the Sky Q installation.
