My sky+ TV box says it is not receiving a signal from the dish. Conections look ok but the box cant

My Sky+ box has stopped working. It says it has no signal from the dish. I've checked the connections and they seem OK. I have also followed the advice online and even tried to reset the box but it is still saying "it cannot initialise as it is not getting a signal from the satelitte dish." The dish looks OK and is pointing and there are no new obstructions.

Most likely a fault with the dish or cabling. Unfortunately Sky no longer provide engineer support for Sky+ systems unless you have Sky Protect, so you would need to contact a local satellite engineer to sort it out for you.

 

Alternatively now might be the time to consider upgrading to Sky Q. Any dish faults will be corrected as part of the Q installation at no additional cost to you.
