My Sky TV isn't working. The little box no longer shows a light!

Apologies. Old and not technically minded. My Sky remote usually lights the little box, and then Sky appears on my screen. This stopped 2 days ago! The remote is still live because it lights up in my hand. It's the little box I point it at that isn't responding.

@DebsAF what colour was the light on your Sky box, when it was working ok?

@DebsAF it's difficult to work out from your post whether you have a (very old) Sky+ box, or a Sky Q box both of which are connected to a satellite dish, or a Sky Stream Puck which is connected to the internet.

You could try restarting the box by switching it off at the plug for 5 minutes.

If that doesn't bring it back to life, I think you'll have to give Sky a call, as what you do next depends on the type of box you have.

It's new. Only joined 6 months ago, but I've spent days trying to get through to Sky, and I'm getting nowhere! Don't know how to reach them.
