Re: How do I access HBO Max content on a Sky+ HD box.....?

There is  no reason why the HBO and Paramount+ content can't be accessed by a simple "search" function - as opposed to the cumbersome scrolling and poor layout of episodic content within.

I get they want to encourage people towards Glass or Stream but it has the opposite effect of making me want to use a firestick and VPN like my GenZ kids keep telling me to do.

I agree. The 'Taste Of Hayu' and Disney+ Teaser content shows up in Search, so absolutely no reason why HBO Max content doesn't.

Have you tried the off-line search by disconnecting the Sky Plus from broadband?

Re: How do I access HBO Max content on a Sky+ HD box.....?

Does anyone know if we can access HBO max on an iPad using the free Sky account?

I tried to create an account but only Amazon was listed as a provider so I couldn't go any further. Also the 6 digit code they were supposed to email when I just tried signing in never appeared in my inbox or junk.

Not if you're a Sky+HD subscriber, no.

I have Sky Q and have already activated it on TV.

OK, but you're in the Sky+ subforum and this thread was about how to view it using a Sky HD box, which works differently to Q.....

Thanks, I emailed Viewer Relations Team as you suggested.

They've just replied saying they replicated the problem and will look into resolving it.

In the meantime I am getting better at interpreting the hidden lines.

Here is the screenshot I emailed them, from '999 Murderer Calling'.

It's not available on Sky+ boxes as a channel only on Sky Q boxes and streaming 🙁

HBO Max content is made available via the On Demand section on your Sky+ box.

I've found a fantastic way to search, scroll etc inside HBO Max.

If you still have the Sky+ app, ignore the fact it's unsupported and choose:

Catch up TV, HBO Max and you will get a screen of pictures of their offerings.

On the right there is a vertical index (#A to Z). Just touch to taste, then scroll within.

Each picture has a series icon if it is a series.

Also there is a magnifying glass at the top to search.

Once you click any picture you can download SD or HD to your Sky+HD box.

Enjoy!

If only there was still a way to install the Sky+ App

Re: How do I access HBO Max content on a Sky+ HD box.....?

If you've had the Sky+ app in the past, you can still find it in the play store under 'manage apps" then click a drop down on the left of the screen to show' not installed apps' where you'll find the Sky+ app to download.

The only problem is that a few weeks ago the 'sign in' option was disabled, it was working fine until then and yes great for quickly searching the HBO content.

With Sky Go currently not working for many it makes me wonder why I bother with Sky.
