Hi all,
Got a message yesterday,
There is a problem with your hard disk drive.
Recordings, on demand and other services are not available.
Tried the reset, no luck, left it unplugged overnight,
it tells me that a full system reset is my next option, but I will lose all my recordings which i am slow to do as
there are recordings of my daughter when she was on Nationwide many years ago.
Is there anyway round this or is the full system reset my only option?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@telefan you could also try a Planner Rebuild as explained here, before the System Reset, but in all honesty it's most likely that the hard disk has failed, which means the box will need replacing.
Sky no longer supply Sky+ boxes, so you could either upgrade to Sky Q, or buy your own used replacement via the likes of ebay. DRX890 and DRX895 are the most recent models.
