HD channels
Hi
my mum has and old sky set up, main box sky+ HD main box and an old white sky box as a multi room box. She can't any HD channels now and ask to phone. If I replace the box with a HD box will it solve it?

@Phill167 Yes but you might need to contact sky to re pair the card

Yes. You'll need to take the Viewing Card out of the old box and use it in the replacement. Then just pair the Card with the replacement box.

dont know if your internet savvy if you are I would I personally match up your viewing card and box on the internet because sky are really trying to push sky Q so it might be really annoying trying to do it over the phone just a thought

You still need to call to inform them of the change in box

There is a danger that a box swap is not identified and thus the billing system may auto cancel the viewing card, it is safer to inform Sky and have the account manually updated

Also, I would add, that it's possible that the viewing card that's only been in a SD Box might not have HD privileges. If so, that will need to be added by Sky.
