Re: Faulty Sky + HD box
Sky don't support the Sky+ systems with "engineers" any more so you'll need to thiink about "upgrading" to a newer supported system Q, Glass or Stream

Re: Faulty Sky + HD box
Signal or satellite signal, they are different?
If it's satellite signal then I'm afraid Sky no longer support Sky+ and Sky+HD set ups. You'll need to employ a local satellite engineer at your own expense to check/repair/replace the dish/LNB if that's the problem.
If you have Sky Protect insurance through Domestic and General Insurance you can call them but a recent post on here stated they wouldn't send an engineer - but they did offer the customer £65 towards arranging one themselves.
The alternative is contacting Sky to upgrade to Sky Q or change to Glass / Stream.

@PamelaHoward can you expand on that please? What do you mean by the box shutting off? And what error message are you seeing?
