Clock running late..Why

Why is my sky HD + Box running late. Does anyone know why???

Are all the times wrong in your TV Guide, so is the BBC News at 10 showing as starting at 9pm for example ?

@tosher  it's a cosmetic fault on the time stamp on recording that has been a round a few years and only occurs during bst

 

when the clocks get back the time stamp will be correct again until the clocks go forward again and so on

 

Sky has confirmed that has it's only cosmetic and doesn't impact the boxes ability to function correctly there are no plans for a fix given it's a legacy product 

 

or is it as @caesarome describes as it could be one of two bugs one can be fixed the other can't

Tv guide says bbc news at 9pm but has just started at 10pm, like all programs!!

press services > settings > system details 

 

Can you post what the model number is

according to information it is the latest version. I have only had this box for a few weeks as the old one went wrong and the new one was replaced by a sky engineer ...

The chances are it isn't running the latest software as Sky released a patch to fix this very issue last year so when you are not using it or recording/downloading it then try updating the software.

Yes that is OLD and needs updating to fix the time bug you are experiencing

Hi, it's me again, I phoned Sky this morning and the person I spoke to asked me what the problem was.I explained and said that I had tried everything I could but with no success to sort the problem and she said that the box that I have is no longer used and that I should upgrade to Sky Q. Anyway she said that as the box was only installed 2 weeks ago by a Sky engineer she would try to upgrade the software and reset the whole box, and with her instructions I managed it and Bingo it now works fine....Please don't ask me what the instructions were because I am in my eighties and wouldn't be able to remember them.

       The best advice would be that if you have the same problem get in touch with Sky and ask them to talk you through to solve the problem....Thanks for the Community to try and help me..
