Can’t connect to router

I've never been able to connect my box to my router but haven't been too fussed up to now. I've now got Discovery + available so need to sort this out now 

I saw somewhere that only later boxes are compatible. Looking online, my network setting screen is different. I don't have the option to connect with a pin etc. is there somewhere I can check the model number to see if it's too old? I've spent ages searching but nothing

Do you have Sky Q or Sky+HD?

Your box is fine and can be connected to the internet to receive on demand content like that from Paramount+ as your box is am 890 or 895 model.

 

Discovery+ isn't available via your Sky+ box.

@WhenImeetGod from the picture you posted, I don't think your Sky+HD has onboard wifi. You can check by looking at the front panel of the box - if there's no WPS button to the right of the blue/green LED ring, it has no wifi capability. You can still connect by ethernet cable, or by buying some additional kit.

There isn't a WPS button, might as well get one with it on eBay

@caesarome @My box hasn't got a WPS button so I'll get another from eBay and send it back if it doesn't do the job

I fear that's not going to do what you want: as noted above, no model of Sky+ HD box can host the Discovery+ app (or any other app)

Connecting the box will get you access to some on-demand content, but 'apps' are only found on Sky Q hardware which requires a Q subscription.
